2026 will be the 70th occasion that the Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod Performing Arts Festival is held.
An Eisteddfod gives performers of all ages and ability levels a chance to perform on stage to a professional adjudicator in order to gain valuable experience and receive feedback from the adjudicator that encourages improvement of each performer. Sometimes there are also money prizes, or medals or trophies.
In 2026, all sections will be held in Traralgon through August and September. Vocal, Instrumental, Piano, Speech and Drama, Brass Solos and some of Theatrical Dance will be held in the older Latrobe Performing Arts Centre, whilst the Brass Bands competition and School Choirs and some of Theatrical Dance will be held in the newer Gippsland Performing Arts Centre.
We are not yet open to receive entries, but anticipate to open the non-dance disciplines in mid April.
The tentative dates when our 2026 events will be held are as follows (subject to total number of entries):
| Choral & Vocal | 20 - 22 August |
| Speech & Drama | 24 - 25 August |
| Piano | 29 August - 1 September (note we usually only require the first 3 days) |
| Instrumental | 3 - 5 September |
