The Eisteddfod encourages and supports the growth of the
cultural life of the community. LVE is the profile and platform for the
presentation of creativity in
all its forms. It is an organisation, which is inclusive of all
performing art forms,
across a wide spectrum of ages. It operates for all races, cultures and
standards of artistic excellence.
It exists to nurture and showcase talent from within the local
community and encourages local product to compete with artists from
beyond the local community in a competition, which is conducted to
professional standards in an atmosphere, which is intimate and
non-threatening.
In many cases the LVE is the first public experience which performers
will have, and, as such, is an important bridge between amateur
activity and professional behaviour and standards.
The Eisteddfod is at the heart of the development and understanding of
culture within a community.
